PG-43: Music
2. The Brotherhood of Fools
(PG-43)
Thanks goes out to the sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond for making this song "necessary." Somebody had to put the innocent ignorance of Ray's TV character to music to celebrate such a wonderful show. Though the show's characters seem to live like this every week, anyone who has lived past the age of 43 can substitute themselves in at least one of their episodes. Hopefully you don't find yourself chronicled in one of the verses of this song.
LYRICS
I'm sleeping alone again - Just trying to understand
Why you think your lovin' man is - Callous and cruel
When I said my love was blind - And couldn't see your huge behind
That's just being kind in the Brotherhood of Fools
Could it be - I just don't get - What's socially correct
When only women make the rules
Or could it be - There are only men - In the Brotherhood of Fools
I never thought I'd see the day - When something I would say
Could drive your love away - You just need time to cool
When I said you need to look - To my mom to learn to cook
That's good advice I took from the Brotherhood of Fools
Could it be - I just don't get - What's socially correct
When only women make the rules
Or could it be - There are only men - In the Brotherhood of Fools
I N S T R U M E N T A L I N T E R L U D E
Could it be - I don't express myself - Too tactfully
Or could it be - I came on a little strong
It's just my timing's wrong
Or maybe - I just don't get - What's socially correct
When only women make the rules
Or could it be - There are only men - In the Brotherhood of Fools
