PG-43: Music

3. Forever's Not Long Enough

(PG-43)
That niece of mine who cost my brother-in-law bookoo money was probably worth it. She and her husband-to-be impressed me so much as the perfect couple that the thought came to me that they will surely have a happy lifetime together. In fact, they deserve more than just a lifetime together. They're going to need an eternity. A song easily came out of this idea. I have to say it's the perfect wedding song to proceed the exchanging of the vows part of the wedding ceremony. Boomers, let your children know about this song.
LYRICS

I will take you - To have and to hold
Whether better or worse times may unfold
From this day forward - You will always be my love
But remember - Forever's not long enough

I will take you - For richer or for poorer
Until death do us part - I will be yours
And thereto I pledge to you my faith and love
But remember - Forever's not long enough

To show you all my love can be
I'd need an eternity
For each day brings another way to love
For this time I'll have with you
And all His many blessings too
I know that I should thank the Lord above
But forever's - Not long enough

I will take you - In sickness and in health
I will cherish you - More than life itself
And I'll be there - With an ever-growing love
But remember - Forever's not long enough

To show you all my love can be
I'd need an eternity
For each day brings another way to love
For this time I'll have with you
And all His many blessings too
I know that I should thank the Lord above
But forever's - Not long enough

Forever's - Not long enough
