PG-43: Music

1. I'll Just Give It a Try

(PG-43)
When I heard a friend lament that she was not going to feel guilty about having some fun now that the nest was empty, I chimed in with my support. I told her that I had been saying for some time that "I don't have that much longer to live," so I've started to whittle away at my "bucket list.". If it's fun - I'll just give it a try.
LYRICS

Ever since I was a kid - I've wanted to fly
But I thought it was done - by only those smarter than I
I don't want to go to my grave - never feeling that high
I don't have that much longer to live - I'll just give it a try

I'll just give it a try - I won't be timid and shy
I'll look fate in the eye - There's no reason why - the world's passing me by
Life has so much to give - I'll think positive - and reach for the sky
I don't have that much longer to live - I'll just give it a try

There's so much - I wish - I could've done
All the times - I missed - out on the fun
It wouldn't hurt this old dog to learn a new trick
Even though - I may be - behind a bit
I'll do fine - if I set - my mind to it
I could get caught up - if I get on it quick

I'd learn to play the piano - and sing at my church
I'd practice each day - so much my fingers would hurt
By the time I learn every note - I'll be older than dirt
But I'll still be that old if I don't - I'll just give it a try

I'll just give it a try - I won't be timid and shy
I'll look fate in the eye - There's no reason why - the world's passing me by
Life has so much to give - I'll think positive - and reach for the sky
I don't have that much longer to live - I'll just give it a try

I'll just give it a try - I won't be timid and shy
I'll look fate in the eye - There's no reason why - the world's passing me by
Life has so much to give - I'll think positive - and reach for the sky
I don't have that much longer to live - I'll just give it a try

I don't have that much longer to live - I'll just give it a try
