PG-43: Music
5. Gravity (It's the Law of the Land)
(PG-43)
My niece was running on the beach and pulled her hamstring. Though the pain was much higher up her leg, extensive bruising appeared right behind her knee. When she expressed her surprise to her physician-husband, he pointed out to her that it was merely the result of gravity. Upon hearing this, I mentioned that she would someday learn that gravity eventually has many debilitating effects on our bodies. She immediately replied, "There's a country song for you." And so it was.
LYRICS
It's gravity - it's the law of the land
If it weren't for Isaac Newton I'd still be looking grand
So if your physique seems to need a tweak - you just gotta' understand
It's gravity - it's the law of the land
When I was a young man I had the body of a finely-tuned athlete
My wavy hair and washboard abs had the girls falling at my feet
But that's when I was fit as a fiddle
Now I'm thin on top and thick in the middle
It's gravity - it's the law of the land
It's gravity - it's the law of the land
If it weren't for Isaac Newton I'd still be looking grand
So if your physique seems to need a tweak - you just gotta' understand
It's gravity - it's the law of the land
When I was a young girl I had the figure of a raving beauty queen
Thirty-six around the top and bottom and twenty-four in between
But that's when I was fit as a fiddle
Now I sag up front and pooch in the middle
It's gravity - it's the law of the land
It's gravity - it's the law of the land
If it weren't for Isaac Newton I'd still be looking grand
So if your physique seems to need a tweak - you just gotta' understand
It's gravity - it's the law of the land
If you wonder why you're down in the mouth
And your body parts are all headin' south
It' gravity - it's the law of the land
It's gravity - it's the law of the land
