PG-43: Music
8. The Perfect Combination
(PG-43)
I heard someone in Kentucky state government propose that the phrase "The Perfect Combination" be the state slogan. I thought I couldn't agree more. Even though it's not the state slogan, we can still sing about the one place "in all of God's creation" where you'll find a little of the best of everything. All the musicians on this recording are born and bred Kentuckians. In getting this song recorded, I caught one of my dreams.
LYRICS
It's just enough north - to have a snowfall
It has lots of southern hospitality
It reaches east to capture - the rapture of the mountains
And stretches west to the waterlands - and the wildlife in between
There's just one place - in all of God's creation
Where you can chase your dreams and you may catch every one
It's called Kentucky - It's the perfect combination
Opportunities - to do the things - you always wished you'd done
Uncommon beauty - Unbridled spirit - Unbounded fun
There's thoroughbred thunder at the race tracks
There're bluegrass hills along the Bourbon Trail
You'll find your favorite festival and the state parks are the best of all
Expand your horizons - there's no way you can fail
There's just one place - in all of God's creation
Where you can chase your dreams and you may catch every one
It's called Kentucky - It's the perfect combination
Opportunities - to do the things - you always wished you'd done
Uncommon beauty - Unbridled spirit - Unbounded fun
There's just one place - in all of God's creation
Where you can chase your dreams and you may catch every one
It's called Kentucky - It's the perfect combination
Opportunities - to do the things - you always wished you'd done
Uncommon beauty - Unbridled spirit - Unbounded fun
