PG-43: Music
2. I'll Paint a Picture For You
(PG-43)
My wife is an artist. Not a recording artist, but the kind that takes paint and brush and creates a setting for the beholder to imagine their own storyline. She provides you with the stage and props for you to recall the past or fantasize about the future. All that's left for you to do is enjoy and/or meditate. Anyone with her kind of talent needs a theme song. That's my gift to her.
LYRICS
Watch the grass on our lawn - how it sparkles at dawn
Like a blanket of emeralds
When sunlight shines through the dew
Oh I wish you could see - the hills of old Tuscany
It blesses your mind
With a state of sweet solitude
But I know you can't always be there enjoying the view
So I-I-I'll - paint a picture for you
Yes I'll paint a picture - that captures one moment in time
And tells a different story - for every beholder's eyes
When I want to say - enough words to convey
And no less than a thousand will do
Then I-I-I'll - paint a picture for you
Give me some red, blue, yellow, and green
Three brushes and a palette knife
Then show me a once-in-a-lifetime scene
And I'll save it one time for life
Yes I'll paint a picture - that captures one moment in time
And tells a different story - for every beholder's eyes
When I want to say - enough words to convey
And no less than a thousand will do
Then I-I-I'll - paint a picture for you
Yes I-I-I'll - paint a picture for you
