PG-43: Music

4. I'm Sorry - I Take It All Back

(PG-43)
One thing common to the generation that "produced" the Baby Boomers is a reluctance to adapt to new-fangled contraptions ("modern technology" to those of you under 43.) No doubt, the standard gift-giving occasions will find their offspring (that's us) trying to bring them into the modern world. Our elders know how to handle this. They just say " I'm sorry, I take it all back."
LYRICS

I'm sorry if I implied that you were not too bright
For buying me appliances that I know don't work right
I wish I hadn't said there's some screws that just aren't tight
I'm sorry - I take it all back

I take it all Back, back to the mall where I can pick and choose
I take it all back and get myself something I can really use
I swear I'm always grateful but I must tell you the truth
I'm sorry - I take it all back

Now what do you tell your children who've agreed
That they all know exactly what you need
When they come 'round and want to know
About those gifts and where'd they go
Say I'm sorry - I take it all back

Last Christmas all the grandkids went together and got me
This tiny digital camera and a read-write DVD
I didn't mean to stifle their generosity
But I'm sorry - took it all back

I take it all back, back to the mall where I can pick and choose
I take it all back and get myself something I can really use
I swear I'm always grateful but I must tell you the truth
I'm sorry - I take it all back

Now how do you make it clear to your descendants
That you don't really care for high-tech presents
When they come 'round and want to know
About those gifts and where'd they go
Say I'm sorry - I take it all back

I take it all back, back to the mall where I can pick and choose
I take it all back and get myself something I can really use
I swear I'm always grateful but I must tell you the truth
I'm sorry - I take it all back

Hide and watch me now I'm sorry - I take it all back
